North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival

Sunday 11th May 2014 from 08:00 ends Tuesday 13th May until 17:00

Endurance horse riding event. 100 miles over two days plus supporting classes over three days. Watch the pre and post ride vettings and follow the horses on route. Sampford Brett Village Fete

Saturday 7th June 2014 from 10:30 until 14:30

Enjoy all the fun of a traditional village fete which is held in the Old Rectory Gardens. You'll get a grandstand view of the proceedings and free entry! There is also a meal in the evening - usually in the garden if its fine, or the village hall if wet. Vehicle access to the Coach House will be limited between about 8.30am and 4pm.

One of the oldest Charter Fairs in the country, running for over 750 years. Street market, local produce, craft fair, pony & livestock auction, funfair,traditional craftsmen,good food and drink. A fantastic day out within 40 minutes drive from the Old Rectory Coach House.


Friday 5th December 2014 from 17:00 ends Saturday 6th December until 22:00

The remarkably preserved Medieval village turns its back on the present and lights its streets with candles to raise funds for St Margaret's Somerset Hospice.
